Short description:
The war roughly destroys friendship, love and youthful dreams of Ana,
Ivan and Ernest, who studied and grew up together. Ana is in the illegal
movement, Ivan, educated in a monastery, becomes fascist, and Ernest
tries to stay aside which leads him inevitably to loneliness.
Tragic end is inevitable, and Ernest and Ivan in that way pay for their
mistakes, while Ana believes she can bring back lost friendship
and love.
