Short description:
The fall of Italy moves armies, causes panic, clashes, cruelty, revenge.
In an island town, this leaves deep traces. Partisan squad commander,
an ascetic revolutionary type, dedicated to fight, with consistent
decisions and attitudes, gets caught in the trap of love with the
girl whose father is a landowner and a traitor. From that moment,
he will identify love with fredom and, as a fighter and revolutionary,
will become weaker. His younger brother, who has come of age during
the revolution, will judge the irresponsible behavior of his older
brother. This story, based on historical facts, is followed by whole
mosaic of different characters and destinies.
