Short description:
Rados arrives to Belgrade from province in order to enlist the Composers
Department at the Music Academy. He's full of ideas and wishes to
create music for "humanity". A beautiful colleague pesters him, and
he is unsuccessfully courting another one. He lives in a little attick
room and, often without any money, pays to his landlady in kind.
At first thrilled, he gets slowly disappointed with environment and
with professor's relation towards music. He states his opinion, that
music forced at the Academy is for dead people, in public. He wants
true, new, great music and a little love. Sudden visit from his province
grandpa awakens his apolitical conscience. And, since the struggle
on the Faculty shows no results, disappointed, Rados returns home.
His father forces him to return to fight.
